Bio – Damian McConnell

When I am not mentoring on the beach or helping people to overcome challenges, I love quality recovery time at the beach with my three children.

Damian believes that “all performance is due to the quality of our thinking”.

Involved in Personal & Professional Development for over 20 years, he assists people from all walks of life understand that small changes in thinking and attitude can make massive differences in people and organisations.

Whether as a conference speaker or delivering customised training programs for clients Damian’s motivating presentation style moves his audiences to make changes in their way of thinking, whilst being inspiring and entertaining.

Outside of client and conference work Damian also has a passion for one on one mentoring- “Mentoring by Walkabout” where he gets clients out into the environment, whether that be in the forests on trails or in the sand at the beach. Working to focus in one what the person wants to change in life, helping them learn tools that absolutely work and then assisting them to create inspiring and empowering goals for them to visualise and focus on.

Passionate about helping people become the extraordinary people they were meant to be, sharing his expertise with participants to enable them to seize the opportunities for growth in their business and personal lives.

Damian shares proven tools and tips on focusing on the Opportunities that are always around by changing our thinking and to stop focusing on the Dangers.

He also encourages us to practice visualising our goals and ambitions. As this ability to constantly “see” your goals achieved is one hallmark of extraordinary people. He is an in demand presenter at professional and personal development events for many industry associations.

Born, raised and educated in Scotland. A Chartered Banker with an Honour’s degree in Financial Services, his business experience includes M.D. of a growing franchise business in Scotland as well as managing several new start businesses which grew to a turn over equivalent of $10m p.a.

Damian left Scotland for the Gold Coast in 2006 and has never looked back. Loving life here on the Gold Coast with his three children.
