Don’t Panic! There is still plenty time to achieve your goals this year

The xmas decorations have been in the shops since September but “don’t panic” as Lance Corporal Jones often called out in Dads Army the 1970s UK comedy show. There is still plenty time to achieve your goals this year if you make time to refocus and recommit to them.

Now that winter is over and spring is here it is time to throw off the heavy doona of limiting beliefs you may have been comforting yourself with and wrap yourself in your lighter sheets of positivity and self belief.

Grasp your goals again with renewed energy.  And go for your Goals.

This is a time to spring clean our thinking and change our attitudes and language to a more positive outlook.

Remember these great Churchill quotes:

As many of you know already I believe that all performance is due to the quality of our thinking.

Also that when we can learn the tools to maintain a positive “can do” attitude and turn our thinking around to see the opportunities then our lives change dramatically for the better.

The difficulties can be personally, professionally, socially. It doesn’t matter where the challenges are, you will be able to see the opportunities if you become more optimistic and have the right attitude. Which attitude will you choose in the last 2 months of this year?

EFFECTIVE GRATITUDE EXERCISE

A simple tip to help you get back into the habit of being optimistic and developing a more positive attitude is to practise GRATITUDE.

Before the end of the month, commit to making time to getting a blank sheet of paper or a journal and then relaxing yourself from head to toe.

Then think in an open minded way about what you are grateful for.

Aim for 10 and write down a few words to describe each one.

Once you have this list, take 60 seconds each morning to read them before you get out of bed.

This is a fantastic habit to develop and sets you up for a better and more positive day.

IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO RE FOCUS ON YOUR GOALS

With 2 months of the year to go there are over 70 days left to visualise your goals,

focus your energy on activities that will take you towards your goals and take action.

Now is the time to spring into action- to achieve those goals you have set for yourself personally and professionally

Make time to find your goals if you have them written down already.

Look under the bed for the dusty part read self development books that you started but didn’t finish.

DELETE the thoughts of  “well 9 months have passed and there is not enough time to achieve them now” or ” I am too busy to think about those dreamy goals I set in January”

Believe me there is always enough time, you are never too busy to make time for mindfulness.

VISUALISE YOUR GOALS ACHIEVED

Make time to relax close your eyes and bring into your imagination each goal being achieved.

How it feels, sounds, smells, who is with you.

Make time daily to “see” your goals achieved and watch the result with so called “coincidences” beginning to happen to you that help you towards your goals.

IT JUST WORKS!
